Quick tips for acupuncture patients
- Please show up on time or early. Allow 15 – 30 minutes to fill out paperwork for your first appointment.
- Please eat a little something an hour or two before getting acupuncture.
- Cell phones must be turned off in the clinic.
- When you enter the treatment room you can help us by taking off your shoes and socks, rolling your pants up just above your knees, and pushing your sleeves up above the elbows. Try to reduce body odor—especially your feet. Your acupuncturist and fellow travelers will appreciate this.
- Avoid wearing cologne, perfume, or other strong scents when coming in for acupuncture. Some people are sensitive to smells.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing if possible. Ideally, there should be easy access to your legs up to mid-thigh, your arms, shoulders, and abdomen.
- Keep all of your appointments, as each visit builds upon the previous ones.
- Be sure to discuss any questions or concerns with your practitioner.
