Kelly McBride, L.Ac., MAOM

I love helping people feel better – and I am passionate about making this amazing medicine accessible to a wide variety of people. I am licensed to practice acupuncture by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and am nationally certified by the NCCAOM as a practitioner of traditional oriental medicine. This means I am trained as a Chinese herbalist, as well as an acupuncturist. I received my Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA) in Texas, and had an internship with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.  I also completed a B.A. at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

I also work throughout Abbott Northwestern Hospital, the Virginina Piper Institute, and the Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute with the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing.  I am particularly interested in helping patients find the best combination of therapies to assist them in finding relief and improving their health.  I treat a wide variety of conditions, but specializes in pain relief for all types of conditions, hormonal issues for men and women, sleep disturbances and treating emotional issues such as stress, anxiety and depression.

ADAM REINSTEIN, L.Ac., MAOM

I have a deep commitment to delivering positive, patient-centered health care. I believe in the importance of encouraging the patient to be an active participant in their wellbeing in order to maximize the effectiveness of the treatments. Most of all, I have a strong desire to work in a setting that treats patients with the highest level of personalized care. Early on, I learned that patients are not just a list of signs and symptoms in a chart, but are complex individuals who deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. This is how I approach all of my acupuncture treatments. I have a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, I am licensed by the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and I have additional certifications in Occupational Acupuncture and Qigong – a form of Chinese health exercises.

Highlight Biography

Adam Reistein

I met Adam when I attended a Traditional Chinese Medicine symposium in Austin, TX. This symposium was put on by Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, TX (AOMA) where we both graduated from their Masters program.   Before flying down to Texas I had contacted a friend, who happened to be the CFO of the school, so we could get together for lunch while I was in town.  When we had lunch, she started raving about a new graduate that was moving to the Midwest.  She said I “had” to meet him, and if I was lucky, that maybe I could get him to work in my clinic.  When I met Adam, I understood why she was so determined to have us meet.  He has that rare combination of true kindness, professionalism, intelligence and skill.

While I ran into old colleagues, professors and administrators, everyone had a kind word to say about Adam.  It became a common phrase to hear “You would be lucky to work with him”.   His follow up after our meeting was pro-active and thoughtful of the things we had discussed.  Over several months and many phone conversations, my appreciation for his work ethic and style of practice grew.  I finally extended a job offer to him this summer (2010), and we truly have been “lucky” to have him join our practice.   Patients have had great things to say about the results of their treatments with him, and his practice is growing swiftly.  Please take some time to schedule some of your visits with Adam.  Between the two of us, you will get the best that we both have to offer.  As they say, two minds are better than one.
